August 2008

I have used film to tell a story. My story made a difference by establishing a Day of Peace with a fixed calendar date. I continued to document my journey on film until lives were saved. This was My Take On Peace. What’s your take?

If you haven't seen the The Day After Peace already, watch a preview, find out where you can watch a screening or click here to obtain your own personal copy.

This page is all about YOU telling YOUR story. We want to show individuals and communities across the world sharing their message of peace. We've only just launched this page, so please make your film and help it grow!

A take on peace can be told in many different ways. Will your take on peace be through art, poetry, song or even business? Which section will you create a film for? Use the self-submission form at the bottom of the page to upload your own take on peace.

Watch videos from Queen Rania of Jordan, Annie Lennox, His Holiness the Dalai Lama and individuals from across the world for inspiration and then submit your own!

Films should be no longer than 3 minutes. You might want to use titles like these ...

  • Peace in My Community—make a film about what peace means to your local community.
  • My School and Peace—make a film about peace in your school.
  • Say Sorry for Peace—make a film where you say sorry, will the person you want to say sorry to see it? Or can you record the moment when you say sorry?

To upload a file you will need a Brightcove account. Don't worry! It's quick and free. The File Uploader will take you through the process.

Any films that are deemed unsuitable will not appear. POD is a not for profit company, impartial, independent of any government or corporation, political persuasion or religious creed & we would hope your films reflect our position.

I Agree to the Peace One Day terms and conditions relating to file uploads.
