Avec qui allez-vous faire la paix pour la Journée de la paix du 21 septembre ?

For Peace Day, Sunday 21 September 2014, we want to build on the incredible achievements of 2013, reducing violence around the theme: Who Will You Make Peace With?

Peace One Day is leading the process of building coalitions to support the institutionalisation of Peace Day and we are hoping that these global coalitions will inspire you to build your own and get your network involved in the process.  Institutionalising Peace Day and making it self-sustaining is our legacy.

Student Coalition

It is the commitment of students and young people worldwide to come together in large numbers on Peace Day 21 September that will provide the leverage needed to inspire governments to follow.

In 2012, Peace One Day and the NUS UK joined forces and on the 27 February 2012 launched the Student Coalition, bringing together student bodies and key figures from around the globe to commit to mobilising the students of their respective regions on Peace Day.

Join us now and become a member of this coalition. Help us build on the successes of Peace Day 2013 to make an even greater impact on Peace Day 2014:

1. Help us raise awareness of Peace Day. You can help gather support ahead of Peace Day by organising activities in your university, school or communities that encourage others to join

2. Organise an event or activity for Peace Day 21 September 2014 and try to get as many people as you can to stand together on the day.

3. Document your Peace Day activity: the mass participation of students in Peace Day activities will consequently contribute towards a decrease in the levels of violence on the day.

Peace Day 21 September is an opportunity to unite on a scale never seen before. You can view who has joined the Student Coalition so far on the Student Page.
