Peace One Day coordinates a range of coalitions to unite action on Peace Day and bring organisations together. So far thousands of organisations around the world have joined one of the coalitions including NGOs, schools, organisations dedicated to tackling domestic violence, faith groups and communities and student bodies.

United Nations Office in Burundi (BNUB)
On Peace Day 2013 at a ceremony held in Isale, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Burundi, Parfait Onanga-Anyanga called for peace and non-violence in the run up to 2015 elections and reiterated their commitment to peace around the theme Education for Peace. This was followed by a ceremony chaired by Burundi’s Minister of Solidarity, Human Rights and Gender and included a visit to a village youth centre.

One Day One Goal
CORD's mission is to be an effective partner for peace in Africa and Asia by working in societies affected by violent conflict and poverty, developing the capacity of partners to build sustainable peace.
On Peace Day 2013, CORD marked the day with a One Day On Goal match in Bujumbura Rural Province.
